FAQ
What is a Big Bang?
It's a fan event where artists and fic writers collaborate to create fan content! Writers and artists work together to create complementing fic and art pieces, all of which will be posted in the week leading up to the s5 anniversary.
How are writers and artists paired up?
Writers will come up with writing prompts and artists will be able to choose which ones they'd be interested in working with based on preference (i.e. Are you comfortable working within a certain age group; Are you interested in NSFW content; etc)
Is there an age limit?
There is no age limit; however, we stress the importance of transparency in sharing whether or not you are a minor. You will not be able to gain access to the Discord server unless you share that information.
Is NSFW content allowed?
Yes; however, NSFW content will be limited to those that are 18+. This is why we insist on honesty when it comes to sharing whether you are a minor or not. If you choose to participate in NSFW content for this event, you MUST be 18+ and you will ONLY be paired with someone else that is 18+ that has also chosen to create this content.
What is the word minimum for the fics?
Big Bang events generally require a 10k word minimum. We're planning this event in advance to allow everyone time to complete this word count.
Are there any art guidelines?
At least one polished & finished piece (does not mean colored since art is subjective, but it has to be clearly more than just a sketch); however, you and your writer can work out something different (i.e. multiple sketches, etc). Essentially: work with the writer to make sure that the work feels even & fair.
Are all ships allowed?
All ships are fair game as long as they aren't pedophilic/incest/rape/abuse (e.g. Shadow Weaver/Catra). Also, please respect canon sexualities. Characters like Adora, Catra, and Scorpia are canonically lesbians and we will not accept any ships that pair them with men.
Organizers reserve the right to choose not to promote art or fic that ends up containing content that may be upsetting or triggering to large segments of the community.
